B & B Sanitation, a Waste
Connections, Inc. company, has an immediate opening for an
experienced Truck/Fleet mechanic in our facility located in Meno,
Oklahoma.
This position will be responsible
for:
- Performing repairs and maintenance on
rear-end loader, roll-off and other District vehicles to maximize
safe and productive
operations.
- Road testing vehicles to trouble shoot
problems and/or test repairs to ensure proper, safe
completion.
- Reading and interpreting VCR's
(vehicle condition reports_ an/or repair orders, communicating with
supervisor and/or driver for clarification or problems. May discuss
preventive technigues with drivers to minimize future
repairs.
- Making emergency road calls to make repairs
to trucks that break down while driving collection
routes.
- Other duties as
assigned.
Qualified candidates should possess at a
minimum:
- 3-5 years of experience in truck repair,
including preventative maintenance, electrical hydraulics and
welding experience.
- A clean Commercial Driver's License
and driving record.
- Must be able to communicate effectively,
read, estimate, calculate, interpret, measure and document in
writing.
- Must be able to sustain a steady work pace
over an entire work day.
- Must be able to tolerate confined spaces
for extended periods of
time.
