Fleet Sourcing - Truck/Equipment Purchasing Manager

Waste Connections, Inc has a need for an Fleet Sourcing Manager (Truck/Equipment Purchasing Manager) for their office in Central California – Folsom, CA. In a nutshell, the main duty for this position is to purchase garbage trucks & earth moving equipment. We're looking for someone with detailed experience in the specs of such vehicles/equipment and choosing the options to build the right truck/equipment for the application.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of heavy-duty truck & heavy-duty equipment (earth moving) sales/purchasing experience. The ideal candidate will have worked for a dealership selling such equipment (Peterbilt, Autocar, Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, Heil, McNeilus, CAT, John Deere etc.).

5+ years experience specing equipment

- Persuasive – excellent negotiating skills
- High energy and enthusiastic
- Strong administrative skills (strong user of PC computer, accurately and efficiently completes reports and various paperwork, etc)
- Sound decision maker

Major responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 - Truck and heavy equipment purchasing
- Truck and heavy equipment specifications
- Pre-purchase equipment inspections
- Management of the Corporate Fleet Sourcing Database
- Payment Tracking & Invoice Management
- Capital repair oversight

**Approximately 10-20% travel may be required.

Salary:

Base salary of approx. $70-75K/year (DOE) + 15% possible performance bonus. Possible stock option grant.
