Who is permitted to utilize the convenience sites?
Anson County residents only. You must live in Anson County.
What items are accepted at these locations?
Bagged household trash, recyclables, and metals. Electronics, tires, bulky items, and large loads are only accepted at 375 Dozer Drive.
Does my load have to be covered/tarped?
Yes, all loads must be covered, tarped, or secured in a way that prevents waste and debris from becoming airborne in any way. Additional fees will be applied to uncovered or unsecured loads without exception.
Are white goods (e.g. refrigerators) accepted?
White goods are accepted for disposal at 375 Dozer Drive AFTER Freon has been removed and the appliance has been tagged. Local companies like Rapid Recovery can perform Freon removal.
Can asbestos, chemically contaminated soil, or other contaminated materials be disposed of at Anson Landfill?
With proper documentation, Anson can accept some of these items. Please visit our Special Waste page for information and instructions for special waste disposal.
Are checks, debit, and credit cards accepted at Anson Landfill?
Yes, checks, debit cards, and credit cards are accepted onsite. Anson Landfill does not accept cash payments.
Does Anson Landfill allow salvaging or picking through trash?
No, picking is not permitted at Anson Landfill.
