Waste Connections of New York is proud to announce we were awarded 12 commercial waste zones and a city-wide containerized zone as part of Local Law 199 of 2019, which focuses on commercial waste reform.
New Waste Regulations are Coming to Queens Central!
It's required for businesses to partner with an authorized waste hauler, or the Department of Sanitation (DSNY) will assign one to you.
Starting September 3, 2024the transition period to contract with an authorized waste hauler begins in Queens Central for all waste and recycling services.

If you are a commercial business and your waste is collected by a private hauler, you must sign a new written service agreement with a zone-authorized hauler between September 3, 2024 and January 2, 2025, or DSNY will choose one for you. Waste Connections of New York is authorized to work in your zone.
