Finney County Landfill Responsible Waste Disposal, Diversion and Recycling

Finney County Landfill

Finney County Landfill is a modern municipal solid waste disposal facility permitted by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) under permit number 0809 and is in full compliance with KDHE rules and regulations.

Finney County Landfill is located approximately five miles east of Garden City, KS on HWY 50. The landfill entrance is located on Raceway Road.

The site accepts municipal solid wastes, construction/demolition wastes and special wastes with proper approval.

We can provide transportation and disposal services for municipal solid waste, industrial waste, and special wastes including asbestos, and non-hazardous contaminated soils. As well as transportation and disposal services for construction and demolition wastes including transportation of large demolition projects using walking floor trailers. We also provide scrap tire hauling and processing.

Finney County Landfill only accepts non-hazardous solid waste for disposal.


What do we do?

Subtitle D landfill capable of handling all non-hazardous waste. Also operate a C&D landfill. Also accept tires, yard waste, and white goods with Freon removed.

When are we open to public?

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What do we take?

Normal Household Garbage, Non-Hazardous Commercial Waste, Farm or Agricultural Waste, Municipal Solid Waste, Construction Debris, Concrete & Asphalt, Yard Waste, Tree Branches, Dry Waste, Clean Fill - Soil, Dead Animals, Non-Hazardous Industrial Waste, Waste Water Treatment Plant Sludge, Industrial Sludges, Industrial OPowders, Contaminated Soil, Treated Lumber, and KDHE Approved Liquids.

What is the price for a typical public load?


Is there is a special price for Tires, E-Waste, White Goods, Batteries, Green Waste, Wood Waste, etc?

Tires - Based on size; E-waste - $51.75 per ton; White Goods $50 per ton; No batteries accepted; Yard Waste $50.00 per ton.

We accept credit cards and debit cards.
