Wasco County Landfill is a solid waste company which provides collection, transfer and recycling services in the Wasco County area.
Wasco County Landfill is a modern municipal solid waste disposal facility permitted by the Oregon DEQ and is in full compliance with Oregon DEQ rules and regulations.
Wasco County Landfill is located approximately 6 miles south of Interstate 84 using exit 87. The landfill entrance is located on 2550 Steele Road.
The site accepts municipal solid wastes, construction/demolition wastes and special wastes (including liquids) with proper approval.
We can arrange transportation and provide disposal services for municipal solid waste, industrial waste, and special wastes including asbestos, and non-hazardous contaminated soils. As well as transportation and disposal services for construction and demolition wastes including transportation of large demolition projects using walking floor trailers.
We are very proud of our facility and we welcome the opportunity to address your disposal needs. Our focus is on customer service and safety. Does my load have to be covered/tarped?

YES, ALL loads must be covered/tarped and/or secured in such a manner that no waste or debris can fly out, fall out or become airborne in anyway. Uncovered/unsecured loads will be charged double, no exceptions.
Can I come out to the landfill and salvage or pick through the trash?

No, salvaging or “picking” is not allowed at the landfill.
Can I bring my old paint, chemicals and/or cleaning supplies to the landfill?

No, these items must go to a chemical waste disposal facility.
What if I need to get rid of asbestos/chemically contaminated soil and/or other contaminated material?

With proper documentation, we can accept some of these types of items. Please call the landfill and we will provide you information and instruction for disposing of “special waste.”
What methods of payments do you accept?

We accept checks and cash (small bills only).

ALL PUBLIC LOADS IN BY 1:00PM, GATES CLOSE AT 2:00PM
